Sonoma Valley enjoys weather similar to that of the Mediterranean...cool mornings, warm days, low humidity, and refreshing evenings. From April 1st to November 30th, rain is almost non-existent and the reason why we have "Golden Hills" (a pretentious way of saying "dead weeds on the mountains"!) The winter “rainy season” is gentle and occurs between December and February... a perfect time to soak in the naturally heated mineral pools of Calistoga. Lots of sun, low humidity, and cool nights make Sonoma Valley a perfect place for your next outdoor vacation! The following are answers to the two most commonly asked questions about our weather: IS IT GOING TO RAIN WHEN I'M THERE? According to weatherbase.com, the following data is an 83-year average of the number of days it rains per month in Sonoma: J F M A M J J A S O N D # Rainy Days: 9 8 6 4 2 1 0 0 0 1 4 8 WHAT'S THE TEMPERATURE GOING TO BE? Year-round, our morning lows average 43F with afternoon highs averaging 74F. With virtually no wind in the mornings, the sun makes our average low of 43F feel warmer than it sounds; with the exception of a few months, shorts and pullovers are standard morning attire. Sonoma county includes towns such as Healdsburg in the northern valley and Bodega Bay on the pacific coast.
