"Follow the Tour" Vacation

EXPERIENCE THE EXCITEMENT...

of California's Premier Cycling Race!

You're invited to join us as we follow the world's top professional cycling teams as they race the 8-day, 700-mile 2008 Amgen Tour of California.

Our comprehensive "Follow the Tour" vacation packages include your accommodations, meals, van shuttle to prime spectating locations along the course and daily guided and SAG-supported bike tours highlighting the regions along the race route.

Best of all, as a bike tour and vacation company with an affinity for great food and wine, you can bet that every evening will hold ample reward for your time spent in the saddle.

FROM SIDELINE TO SADDLE-TIME

this is the Ultimate Fan Experience!

Each morning after breakfast, we'll pile into our vans and head out on along the race course to catch the riders in action. We'll choose spectating locations along the route that are a natural set-up for drama and excitement, whether it's along the big climb of the day or near the finish line, you'll get to see the riders up close and at their best.

We'll switch gears in the afternoon with a group ride, where we'll have ample opportunity to apply the inspiration that naturally comes from watching the pros up close. But instead of always following the race course (which in some areas can be less-than-fun after the roads reopen to traffic), we've designed routes that highlight the best riding found in the regions along the 2008 Amgen Tour of California.

We invite you to read through our Sample Itinerary (below) for a taste of what's in store on this vacation...

...AND A SOUND NIGHT'S REST

On many cycling vacations, the accommodations almost seem like an afterthought. We set a higher standard, realizing that our guests appreciate having their own sanctuary to retire to after a long day of riding. We invite you to check out the hotel links provided in the sample intinerary below.
